MPP
Ted Arnott Appointed to three Ontario P.C. Task
Forces
Waterloo-Wellington
MPP Ted Arnott will serve on three key Ontario
P.C. Policy Task Forces that will develop a plan
of action to be implemented if the Conservatives
are elected to govern the Province again in 2007.
Mr.
Arnott is serving on the Task Forces for Economic
Development, Education, and Health Care. Mr. Arnott
and MPP Jim Flaherty will share the lead responsibility
for the Task Force on Economic Development.
“I
am very pleased to have the chance to serve on
these Task Forces for our Party. This is an important
step toward the development of the platform which
we hope will lead to a P.C. victory in 2007,”
Mr. Arnott said.
“The
rest of the world isn’t standing still. We need
to have a competitive and growing economy in Ontario
to produce the prosperity, quality of life, jobs,
and revenues that will enable us to strengthen
Canada. Strong economic growth is the only way
to ensure that we can afford top quality health
care while also seeing to it that our students
have the best education anywhere in the world,”
he added.
Kitchener-Waterloo
MPP Elizabeth Witmer has been appointed by P.C.
Leader John Tory to head up the overall policy
development process. “I am delighted to be working
with John, Elizabeth and my other colleagues on
these Task Forces,” Mr. Arnott said.

Arnott is inviting people who have ideas for Economic
Development, Health Care and Education to contact
