Ted Arnott Appointed First Deputy Chair by
Members of the Ontario Legislative Assembly
Waterloo-Wellington MPP Ted Arnott was appointed First
Deputy Chair of the Committee of the Whole House by
a vote in the Ontario Legislature on December 8, 2003.
In
this capacity Mr. Arnott is to serve as a presiding
officer of the Ontario Legislature. He will work with
the Speaker and from time to time preside from the Speaker’s
chair over the proceedings of the House.
“I
am honoured by this appointment, and I look forward
to the challenges this role will bring,” Mr. Arnott
said.
