Increase for Hospitals
in Mount Forest and Palmerston
Ontario's Minister of Health Tony Clement has announced
that the Ontario Government has increased funding for
the North Wellington Health Care Corporation by $470,000.
This 4.8 per cent increase brings their total base funding
for 2002/03 to $10,173,427. This corporation is the
amalgamated entity that operates the hospitals in Palmerston
and Mount Forest.
"The
Board and staff of Palmerston and Louise Marshall are
to be congratulated for the excellent work that they
do and for their success in obtaining this increase
in funding," said Waterloo-Wellington MPP Mr. Arnott.
"Clearly
health care spending is a priority for our Government.
This enhanced funding represents an even stronger commitment
to health care that should help maintain and improve
health care in Waterloo-Wellington," he added.
