MPP Arnott Announces Good Performance Funding for Groves Memorial Hospital

Waterloo-Wellington MPP Ted Arnott has announced that the Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus is receiving additional funding from the Province of Ontario under the Performance Grant category.

“I want to congratulate the hospital Board, the administration, and all of the staff for their exceptional work. They have received a grant in the performance category because of their outstanding record for efficiency - a record that is helping to set a standard of excellence for other hospitals,” Mr. Arnott said.

“This hospital runs well, its staff provide more services for patients for the funding that they receive and I thank the Minister of Health and Long Term Care for recognizing that important achievement,” he concluded.

The Groves Memorial hospital is receiving $420,281 which is allocated based on a number of indicators measured over the past two years. The indicators include overall efficiency and growth in the number of patients served.

Mr. Arnott's provincial riding of Waterloo-Wellington includes all of Wellesley, Wilmot and Woolwich Townships, a southwestern part of the City of Kitchener, and much of Wellington County.

MPP Arnott Announces Good Performance Funding for Palmerston and District Hospital and Louise Marshall Hospital in Mount Forest

Waterloo-Wellington MPP Ted Arnott has announced that the Palmerston and District Hospital and the Louise Marshall Hospital in Mount Forest are receiving additional funding from the Province of Ontario in the Performance Grant category.

“I want to congratulate the hospital Boards, the administration, and all of the staff at both hospitals for their exceptional work. They have received grants in the performance category because of their outstanding records for efficiency - records that are helping to set standards of excellence for other hospitals,” Mr. Arnott said.

“These hospitals run well, their staff provide more services for patients for the funding that they receive and I thank the Minister of Health and Long Term Care for recognizing the successful work done in that regard. This is of special significance because they are streamlining as two hospitals serving their respective communities under one administration,” he concluded.

The Palmerston and District Hospital is receiving $165,642 and the Louise Marshall Hospital in Mount Forest is receiving $110,268. These grants are allocated based on a number of indicators measured over the past two years. The indicators include overall efficiency and growth in the number of patients served.

They have received grants in the performance category because of their outstanding records for efficiency - records that are helping to set standards of excellence for other hospitals,” Mr. Arnott said.
